EP4: After a long Easter break, Carlos and Jesús return to the island with Barco de Noticias, where they talk about, and reflect on, a couple of opinion pieces by Javier Cercas and Javier Marías related respectively to the world of football and its over-rated relevance in our society, and the dangers of the seemingly increasing Puritanism manifested by some cultural critics. In Faro de Cultura today the focus is on concepts of History and Memory with the presentation and discussion of two novels, El impostor/The Impostor by Javier Cercas, and La forja de un rebelde/The Forging of a Rebel by Arturo Barea. In Náufragos, they interview Jessica Murphy, an Irish-Spanish young Dubliner who shares her personal experience of being bicultural and bilingual.
