The Irish Blue Cross is one of Ireland’s leading animal welfare charities, founded in 1945. The charity operates from a small animal clinic based in Inchicore and from mobile veterinary clinics in ten locations across Dublin each week day evening, including Ballyfermot every Wednesday evening (outside the Garda station). The Irish Blue Cross offer affordable veterinary care to pet owners whose financial circumstances prohibit access to private veterinary care, as defined by a list of means tested Government benefits. The Pets & Vets show, sponsored by Premier Pets Ballyfermot, is a weekly pet advice program where some of the veterinary team from the Inchicore clinic talk about various topics relating to pet care, responsible pet ownership and answering questions from Together FM listeners.
