Mary Clarke training sessions are always full of laughter and clapping and enthusiastic reactions.  She works with a variety of age groups, special needs, teenagers on work experience, backgrounds, Mary’s training brings out the communicator in everyone and enhances a sense of community. Everyone is welcome

 Mary brings years of experience in community radio.  Her original background was many years in the catering industry, where she became a shop steward, representing and speaking up for her colleagues.  She brought those skills to management and has a genuine passion for helping others to find their confidence and speak out.  Mary has found sitting behind the sound desk in the radio station makes everything easier and more fun.  There is usually a huge improvement in confidence at the end of training sessions and often trainees become TogetherFM volunteers.  Able to plan, create, produce and edit their own Radio shows.  Being able to showcase their choice of music, add some chat,news or reviews can make huge changes and the more specialised subjects the better as it brings diversity and variety to our listeners and highlights the great communities around us.

Training covers a wide range of topics, including

• introduction to media, especially Radio
• Learn how to express yourself and increase self confidence
• how to get across your style and passion
• Training to work as part of a team, making shows together ,editing
• Taking it further:Your own show
• Learn how to set up a sound desk , run the desk and edit.
• This involves several sessions, first shadowing one of our sound engineers and getting comfortable in the studio
• learning to respect the studio rules 
• Create a playlist, produce your own show
• Own your own show.
