Irish Wheelchair Association Starting a New Multi-Sport Junior Club

Irish Wheelchair Association Multi-Sport Junior Club

The Irish Wheelchair Association-Sport is starting a new free multi-sport junior club for children with physical disabilities and their siblings.

Over a nine-week spell, the programme will give children an opportunity to get involved in different games and activities such as wheelchair basketball, rugby and athletics. Run in conjunction with South Dublin County Sports Partnership, the ultimate goal of starting the club is to eventually have a “sustainable, volunteer-led club” that will meet regularly and have the opportunity to take part in IWA Sport events.

The club is also on the lookout for parents and volunteers to get involved in running the club and are prepared to provide training. Free of charge, the multi-sport junior club is suitable for children aged five to 15-years-old and will start in Our Lady’s School in Terenure on Sunday, the 16th of February from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
