The Inchicore Literary festival launches on Friday April 26th at 7:00 pm with a talk on the work of poet John Kinsella.
The festival continues on Saturday at 11:00 am with a showing of a Necklace of the Wrens with a general discussion on Michael Hartnett and his sojourn in Inchicore. At 2:30 pm there will be another talk on Michael Hartnett given by Desmond Egan, Director of the Gerard Manley Hopkins Summer School. At 4:00 pm four modern poets will give a poem reading of their own works.
Sunday will see a showing of Behind the Closed Eye with a general discussion on Francis Ledwidge at 11:00 am. 2:30 pm sees a talk on Francis Ledwidge given by Rosemary Yore, curator of the Francis Ledwidge Cottage in Slane. At 4:00 pm four modern poets will give a poem reading of their own works.
