From Sunday March 28th until Sunday October 31st 2021, Daylight Saving Time comes into effect for the UK and Ireland. The reasoning for Daylight Saving Time is to make it so it becomes darker at a later time due to the warmer weather conditions.

Daylight Saving Time will begin at 01:00 (1am) where the clocks will skip an hour and go to 02:00 (2am). This will officially mark the beginning of Summer Time. This also means that we “lose” an hour of sleep.

Mobile phones, laptops and other smart devices will automatically update however you will need to manually change clocks around your house and in your car.
