Local theatre group, Basement Productions, have announced that their hit comedy Dyin’ For It will be performed in the Smock Alley Theatre next month.
Written by local playwright Derek Murphy, Dyin’ For It originally ran in Ballyfermot’s FamiliBase back in October 2019 and was hugely successful. The story follows a family who are waiting for their father and husband to die but it seems that some of the family want him to hurry up. While others may want the same thing, they are reluctant to say so.
The show runs from March 8th through to the 12th at 8pm in the famous Smock Alley Theatre located in Temple Bar. Admission is €16 and concessions are available for Students/OAPs/Unwaged at €14. Tickets can be bought from the Smock Alley Box Office.
The show is not suitable for under 12s.
Basement Productions also have a comedy radio drama, ‘Dial M For Mammy’, which is also written by Derek Murphy.
